Spring Enews: discussion and yarn giveaway

Its time for some spring knitting (vs. cleaning!).  If you received the latest enews, we were talking about our favorite cotton, linen, lighter weight wools and projects for warmer weather knitting and wear (could be shawlettes, socks, tanks or tees).

GIVEAWAY: Post a link here telling us what you are interested in knitting and with what yarn. You’ll get one entry for posting, and another entry for any link to those project or materials on our website.  You can post on the KTNews blog, Knitting Today facebook page, or Knitting Today Ravelry group.  YOU COULD WIN: a skein of Stiletto, Florafil, Starbella AND Creative Focus Linen. Winner will be drawn on March 31.

P.S. Download the enews to get the coupon for purchase off any yarn mentioned in the enews (with the exception of the Blue Bag specials which are already 40% off!)

  1. I’m dying to make the cotton dress and jacket featured on the cover of the new June Knit ‘n Style magazine. I may leave the ruffles off the jacket sleeves and will definitely choose a cool tone color. The new corals and orange-reds are not my thing. A turquoise-aqua? Maybe wear it to my 40th high school reunion this summer?

It has been awhile since I have made a pair of socks and I need a small project to have going. I love the Mountain Colors patterns and am itching to make the lace patter. I also have fallen in love with the shawl in the Jane Austen magazine from 2011. It is the Georgianna. So pretty.

  3. I would love to knit a nice short sleeved or 3/4 length sleeved sweater in a lovely cotton. I’m thinking cotton fleece would be lovely! I’ve loved Brown Sheep cotton/ wool blends that I’ve used before! Betty

  4. I am actually going to get an UFO project out of a bag and finish it. It is curtains for the cottage with the Nashua Creative Focus Linen… I started the valance and need to finish these.. Got both the yarn and pattern book from your store!!

  5. I am wanting to make a baby dress in pima cotton. I did a sweater in it and it turned out lovely. Thanks for the opportunity. =)
