Toe-up, two-at-a-time, magic loop

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008

So…I took the sock class a few weeks ago to learn, I thought, how to do two socks at a time on the magic loop.  I expected to learn the loop and toe up.  I am so stoked because I learned soooo much from this class.  I learned: 1. (revised) Magic Cast-on 2. Magic Loop  3. Toe-up  4. Two at a time 5. Lea-Ann’s interpretation of the Jo-Jo Heel.

I am not prepared to say that I will do all my future socks this way, because there is just something I like about the dp’s BUT, if I want socks, and I want them (relatively) quickly, and I don’t want to piddle with a heel flap I will most definitely knit socks this way again.  If you’ve been even remotely considering taking this class the next time it’s offered, don’t hesitate!

It’s finally here!

The Noro Kureyon Sock yarn in shade 188 (what I call the “grape olives” shade) has finally come in.  This has got to be one of my favorite Noro colorways.

As soon as I can find my notes on adding the link, I’ll put it in so you can pop right to it….or maybe Lea-Ann will read this while sunning by the pool in Vegas and won’t resist the urge to add the link herself :-)
